eGovernment case studies
Information technology and the internet have revolutionized governance and public services, not only by making the processes more effective, but also by redefining the way the governments and administration interact with citizens and businesses. E-enhanced interaction is now present in a variety of services ranging form municipal administration, through medical and educational services, to citizen participation and community building. The workshop brought together researchers, developers, and policy makers, to exchange experiences and explore state-of-the-art and future challenges. Various aspects of e-government were illustrated via case studies from Japan, and Europe. Objective: The objectives were:
